James Noxon - Private funeral services for James Noxon of 209 W. Beard Av., one of the founders of the Onondaga County Historical Society, who died Wednesday on his eighty-second birthday, will be conducted at the funeral parlors of Bert C. Sanford Friday at 11 A. M. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. A native of Syracuse, he was born May 3, 1857. He was a son of the late James Noxon and a grandson of the late B. Davis Noxon, former justices in the Supreme Court. For many years Mr. Noxon was engaged in the manufacture and sale of fishing equipment before retiring several years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Parshall Noxon; a son, James A. Noxon, and a niece, Miss Florence Munger, all of Syracuse; two brothers, Frank W. of Washington, D. C., and B. Davis Noxon of Fort Worth, Tex., and two sisters, Mrs. G. Putnam of Greenfield, Mass., and Mrs. Leslie Nichols of Yakima, Wash.
