New Winchester----Ruth Walton, 93, died June 27, 1995.
She was born Aug. 16, 1901, in Putnam County to Joseph and Lillie (Lydick) Pearson. She married Frank Walton on Sept. 17, 1921, in Groveland, Ind. He preceded her in death.
Walton was a 75-year member of Groveland Eastern Star and secretary and treasurer of New Winchester Cemetery Association.
Survivors include: two daughters, Helen Louis Doub and Josephine Mendenahall, both of New Winchester; a sister, Twyla Sellers of New Winchester; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services were conducted at New Winchester Cemetery.
