Roberta May Michaels Jones was the daughter of John Horace Michaels and his wife Lydia Jane "Liddy" Atchley Michaels. Roberta married Claude W Jones about 1915 and from Langston they made their life long home in Scottsboro, Alabama. Affectionately known as Granny and Daddaw, Roberta and Claude had seven children, many grand and great grandchildren. Roberta is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews who all knew her as "Aunt Bert".
