He served in the US Navy Seabees as a Electrician's Mate First Class during WW II. Saw action in both the Asian and European theaters of the war. He received the Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Combat Ribbon, Navy Unit Citation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Asian-Pacific Medal, European Medal, WW II Victory Medal and the WW II Veteran Pin. He was a General Electrical Contractor after the the war and his invention the Tri-Tap Tool was issued patent number 434772 from the US Patent Office, on June 7, 1954. The Tri-Tap Tool, which is a multi center tap drill-threading device, is used in manufacturing, construction and general domestic use to this day. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
