Mrs. Patricia Harris Brown departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2011, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was born on Nov. 5, 1943, to the late Lawrence and Ella Harris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris and Ralph Harris and one sister, Cynthia Harris.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Arthur S. Brown Sr.; a daughter, Rhonda Chisholm (Eric); a son, Arthur S. Brown Jr. (Charnette); three grand-children, Joshua and Allivia Chisholm and Cara Brown; three brothers, Lawerence, Jr. (Edith), Donnie and Ricky Harris; two sisters, Wanda Harris and Phyliss Abbitt (Ernest); one brother-in-law, Leroy Spencer (Helen); two sister-in-laws, Clara Delago (Lester) and a devoted and faithful sister-in-law, Eunice Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Wingfield Baptist Church with Pastor Stacy E. Younger, officiating and Pastor Mary O. Johnson as eulogist. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family is receiving friends and the cortege will assemble at 532 Madewood Rd. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
