WALTER W. WILHELM

Walter W. Wilhelm of Allison, age 81, passed away at the Allison Care Center on Wednesday, November 16, 1994.

Walter was born in Chicago on August 17, 1913 to Frank and Jennie (Anderson) Wilhelm. He attended the Clarksville School through the 11gh grade and resided in Allison since 1918. He served in the Military Service.

Walter was a farmer and was the Butler County Clerk of Courts for 16 years. He retired in 1980.

He was a member of the Lions Club of Allison, and the United Church of Christ, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher.

On March 20, 1948, Water was united in marriage to Ethel Rodman at Mason City.

Survivors include his wife, Ethyl; three sons; Anthony "Tony" Wilhelm of Toddville; Walter Junior Wilhelm of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Craig Wilhelm of Blanchard, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Wilhelm of Sacramento, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 19 1994, at 10:30 a.m., at the United Church of Christ of Allison with Rev. Paul Schultz officiating. Burial was made at the Allison Cemetery. Mrs. Arlene Radcliffe was the organist, who accompanied Dean Uhlenhopp singing "In The Garden." The flower ladies were Mrs. Jackie Reints and Mrs. Marlene Millet. Ushers were Burton Sprole and Duane Miller. The pallbearers were Gene Resser, Rick Resser, Ernest DeBower, Richard Dralle, Merie Hoodjer and Roy Wiebke.
