Mr. Parker was a 1948 graduate of Ironton High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War and a member of the VFW Post 8850 and the Moose. He was an operator at Allied Chemical in South Point and retired from the Ironton Coke Plant. He was of the Methodist faith and lived all his life in Ironton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by:
two brothers: Jack Parker and John Parker
He is survived by:
three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Norma Smittle of Columbus, Ohio,
Mary and Clarence Harper
Joyce and James Smith all of Ironton, and several nieces and nephews
Graveside service was in Woodland Cemetery with Rev. Mike McCormick officiating.
