Mary Catherine Braddock was born December 24, 1850 in Indiana, the daughter of John G. and Mary B. Jones Braddock.

On January 17, 1867, in Newton County, IN, Mary was married to John Chamberlain, son of Aaron and Elizabeth Thatcher Chamberlain. Her husband, John, a carpenter, lost both legs after train cars ran over him. He died October 24, 1910.

They were the parents of three children, Charles, John, and May.

E. M. WHITWORTH RELATIVE DIES

Mrs. Mary Catherine Chamberlain, mother-in-law of E. M. Whitworth, official of the state Works Progress Administration organization, died at 7:30 o'clock last night, September 8, 1935, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. May Whitworth, 19th and Northern Avenues.

Eighty-four years old, she had been a resident of Arizona since 1927.

Mrs. Whitworth will take the body to Benton Harbor, MI, for interment at the Millburg Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements in charge of A. H. McLellan Mortuary, will be announced later.

FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN ARIZONA

The body of Mrs. Mary Chamberlain, a former local resident, is expected to arrive Thursday from Phoenix, Arizona, where she died.

Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Esalhorst Chapel.

Burial will be in the Millburg cemetery.

Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. May Whitworth of Phoenix.
