Born Jan. 5, 1939, in Howe, Texas, she was the daughter of Joe and Bonnie (Marsh) Nowell. She graduated from Savanna High School and held the individual single game scoring record of 62 points. She married Paul Davis Sr. on May 20, 1955, in McAlester. She enjoyed antiques, gardening, arts and crafts, basketball games and watching her grandkids at their activities. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McAlester. Survivors include her husband, Paul Dean Davis, Sr.; four children and spouses, Paul Dean Davis Jr. and wife, Jerri, Stanley Neil Davis and wife, Jill, Thomas Joe Davis and wife, Michelle, and Bonnie Sue Weeks and husband, Randy. Also, eight grandchildren, Katy Davis, Trey Davis, Cam Davis, Bethany Davis, John Paul Davis, Shelby Davis, Colton Weeks and Ryan Weeks. And, a brother, Doug Nowell; sister, Tommie Griffin; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Kathy Scott, Bill and Billie Jo Hensley, Donna Ann Littlejohn, Jake Shields and Lequetta Gross. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim and Bill Nowell. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church youth ministry for Falls Creek or the King's House youth ministry. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Dr. James Crowson officiating. Burial will be at Savanna Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers will be Paul Dean Davis, Jr., Stanley Davis, Thomas Davis, Trey Davis, Colton Weeks and Cam Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Davis Weeks and John Paul Davis.
