Carl Stanley Carlson, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 11, 2003, of cancer. He was born April 17, 1926, at Shelley, to John G. Carlson and Malina Ekanger Carlson. He attended Riverdale Grade School and Shelley High School. He served as a Seaman First Class in the U. S. Navy during World War II from 1944-1946.

On May 1, 1946, he married Leta J. Burtenshaw in Ririe. They made their home in Idaho Falls, and he worked as an electrician in the Idaho Falls area for 40 years. He also worked in Real Estate and farmed.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a member of the IBEW 449 Union and served as a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. Carl served several terms as President of the Skyline Gun Club. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Carlson, Idaho FallsSon: Brent Carlson, Idaho FallsDaughter: Janet Carlson, Idaho FallsSon: Blair [Dylynn] Carlson, Idaho Falls, Daughter: Eva O'Connell, Rigby, Sister: Olga Adolfson, FirthSister: Dora Anderson, Hansen, ID 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents and brother Oliver Everett. Funeral Services held May 14, 2003, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 N. Ridge. Burial in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery directed Wood Funeral Home.
