Actor. Often appearing in drag, he appeared in the Andy Warhol films, "Underground U.S.A." (1980), "Women In Revolt" (1972), "Mystery Of Body" (1971), and "Flesh" (1968). He also appeared in the television shows, "An American Family" in 1973, and "The Corner Bar" from 1972 to 1973. He was born John Holder in Manhattan, New York City and died in Manhattan from a heroin overdose. In 1972, he was immortalized in Lou Reed's song, "Walk on the Wild Side" ("Jackie is just speeding away / thought she was James Dean for a day"). (bio by: K)
