Funeral of Mrs. Rosa B. Hudson
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Bailey Hudson, who died Wednesday night at her home, 2514 Hanover Avenue, were conducted in Calvary Baptist Church yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, by Rev. C.A. Jenkens, pastor, assisted by Rev. C.O. Tuttle, pastor of Grace Methodist Church. The pallbearers were L.M. Perry, Charles Ford, W.M. Bodie, F. Briggs Richardson, G. Freeman McGruder, James C. Latimer, Dr. C. F. Ross, of Richmond, and Robert C. Glass, of Lynchburg. Interment was in Riverview. Among the many beautiful floral tributes were several from newspaper men, who became acquainted with Mrs. Hudson through their friendship for the late "Tommie" Atkins, sporting editor of the old Richmond Journal, who was her son-in-law.

In the 1900 Federal Census, Rosa is head of household with her children living with her: Henry C Hudson, age 24; Melvin V, age 20, and Estelle, age 15.
