He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a 100 percent disabled veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Benjamin and Lee Verge Ross.
Survivors: wife, Carolyn Ross; son, Larry Lee Ross; daughter, Vickie Michelle Ross; three grandchildren; brothers, Tony, Vernon and Ronnie Ross, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Connie Ann Cannon of Spartanburg, S.C., and Johnnie Mae McElvain of Chattanooga; aunt, Constance Ross of Chattanooga; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Washington Park Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Williams officiating.
