Dorothy "Dot" married Fred Bruggeman April 16,1929 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Carlyle, in a double wedding with her sister Marcella and husband Carl Kellerman. Seven children were born to Fred and Dot, three daughters and four sons.
Dot was a member St. Ann's Alter Sodality and St. Mary's Catholic Church. A life-long resident of Carlyle she was a hard working farm wife and devoted mother. At the time of her death she had 33 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dot passed away at age 78 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese, Illinois.
