H. Evelyn Miklethun, age 99, of Baptist Village in Youngtown, Ariz., passed away Oct. 23, 2007. She was born on Aug. 4, 1908, in Hannaford, N.D. to John and Synva Miklethun.

After graduating from Hannaford High School, she worked in factories in Milwaukee, Wis., about three years. She then attended Dakota Business College in Fargo, N.D., one year. She then worked for Dakota Creamery Company 21 years before moving to Long Beach, Calif. where she was employed in the accounting department of Edgington Oil Refineries until her retirement.

She lived in Prescott Valley, Ariz., 26 years before moving to Baptist Village, Youngtown, Ariz. She was a Christian and member of South Peoria Baptist Church.

She is survived by a sister and a sister-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Cook Health Care Chapel, 11527 W. Peoria Ave., Youngtown, Ariz., with a graveside service following at 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Park, 1163 Old Chisholm Trail, Dewey, Ariz.

Arrangements were handled by Menke Funeral Home.
