(June 20, 1935 Lyons) Mrs. Irving Seymour. Nellie Beryl Jennings was born July 22, 1881 in Ronald Township, Ionia County, and received her early education in the country school. She was the youngest of eleven children. On her twenty-second birthday she was married to Irving Seymour and to this union was born four children, Mary, Howard, John, and Beryl. Mary and Howard are the only children surviving.
The first part of their married life was spent in St. Johns and Carson City. Later the family took up a permanent residence in Lyons. A few years were spent in Florida, California, Albion, Owosso, and Montgomery.
Mrs. Seymour was a Christian wife and mother, a member of Disciple Church at North Plains during her girlhood days. After her marriage she became a member of the M. E. church of Lyons.
The funeral service at the Lyons M. E. church was donducted by Rev. L. M. Whittemore, assisted by Rev. H. E. Wylie of Bath and Rev. Harold Dixon, a son-in-law.
Those left to mourn are the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Harold Dixon, and son, Rev. Howard, now pastor of the M. E. church of Paw Paw, two grand children, Ruth Ellen Dixon and Richard Howard Seymour, and one brother, Hugh Jennings of Lansing.
The bearers were Chas. Ginnebaugh, E. I. Goodwin, Chas. Wright, Chas. Owen, John Chase and Burdette Brigham. Music by Mrs. George Steadman and Plynn Woodworth. Interment was in North Plains Cemetery.
