Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. His true name was George Taylor F. Johnson. He served as a Armorer in the United States Navy. When an enemy shell exploded in the shellroom, Taylor, although wounded, went into the room and, with his hand, extinguished the fire from the explosion.
