Genevieve "Gene" Schuster, nee Charles, 96, of Glenview, IL, and formerly of Chicago died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at The Springs, Crystal Lake, IL. Born Oct. 15, 1911, in Chicago, she was second of nine children of the late Joseph and Josephine Jeske Charles. She married George W. Schuster on May 25, 1935. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1988. She was also preceded in death by brothers Vincent, Joseph and Robert, and sisters Bernice Niemet, Mildred Rigoni, Virginia Gilles, Geraldine Wilson and Marjorie June Brouillette; and daughter-in-law Patricia Schuster. As the daughter of a violinist, she maintained lifelong love for classical and show music and encouraged an appreciation of music in her children.Surviving are her sons, Robert and wife Janet of Edgerton, WI; G. Richard (April) of Inverness, IL; one daughter Cathryn (Phillip) Martino of Frederick, MD; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 10:45 a.m. from Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 8025 W. Golf Rd., Niles, to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at, 1125 Church Street, Glenview, IL, for 11:30 a.m. mass. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
