St. Albans – Penelope Hope Cisar, 59, a resident of this area since 1981, passed away Monday June 20, 2011, at her home with her family at her side.
Born on September 7, 1951, in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Gerard F. and June (Shepard) Murano
Penny worked at various nursing homes in the area as a LNA. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, documentaries, especially history, animals of all kinds and reading.
Survivors include her two children, Rebecca Cisar and John Cisar and his wife, Sonya, all of South Burlington; her sister, Jo Ann Minzner and her husband, Raymond, of Sugar Grove, Illinois; her brother, Gerard "Mickey" Murano of St. Albans; her former husband, Edward Cisar and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and her feline companion, Baby.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery on Calvary Street. The Reverend Maurice J. Roy will officiate.
