Nick Howard Sr., 88, died Tuesday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a short illness. The North Carolina native had lived in Bulloch County for many years and was a member of St. Mary's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, J. D. Howard, Pembroke, Freddie Howard, Brooklet, and Nick Howard Jr., Stateboro; five daughters, Linda Johnson, Atlanta, Kay Frances Howard, Julia Howard, Gloria Williams and Rebecca Lanier, Statesboro; and several grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Little Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
