They loved their summer time cook outs in the back yard especially over Labor Day when the Sand Hills came alive with its Labor Day celebration. After Alfred passed, her brother Jack Stone moved in with her and her daughter. Jack and Roz lived together for 33 years. They were the dynamic duo in their elder years, going shopping together, going to lunch, taking rides around the Lighthouse. She was an avid reader and loved to do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune where she would try and guess the answers. She loved seeing her grandchildren. She truly loved her town of Scituate.
