Stockwell - James Leo Cornell, 74, of R#6, Lafayette, died in William Ross Annex, Lafayette, at 9:10 p.m. Sunday. He was a patient there two weeks and hospitalized a month previously. He had been in failing health several years. Born near South Raub, he had lived in the Lauramie Hill community since he was three weeks old. He was married to Hazel E. Gibson in 1914 and was a member of the Monroe EUB Church. He was a retired farmer. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Harold Green of Burnettsville; two sons, Lorin of R#6, Lafayette, and Gordon of R#1, Clark’s Hill; a grandson, Bruce Stark of Dayton, who was reared in the Cornell Home, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Anderson of Dayton. Also survive 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. Interment at Salem, Wednesday.
