He was a veteran of the German-Austria War and served his country faithfully. He came to America in 1868 and located in Utica, where he had since resided.
In 1872 he was married to Cynthia Gigle.
Besides his wife he is survived by five sons, Peter Anthony, Adam F., Matthew J. Francis J. and Charles G. Fox and one daughter, Mrs. Charles C. (Mary) Mitchell, who was married last Wednesday, December 27. He is also survived by one grandchild and brother, Charles Fox of Germany.
