Funeral service for Anna LaRue Trobaugh Saufley , 82, of Mount Crawford, will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday from the Mount Crawford United Methodist Church by the Rev. Elinor R. Dalton. Burial will be in the Mt. Crawford Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Saufley died Feb. 21, 1996, at Oak Lea Nursing Home in Harrisonburg where she had been a resident since April 3, 1990.

She was born May 26, 1913, in Dayton and was the daughter of the late William Otis and Mary May Trobaugh, born at North River, VA.

Mrs. Saufley was a member of the Mt. Crawford United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She had served as the Mt. Crawford town treasurer for a number of years and was a self- employed antique dealer being well-known as the dealer with the antique carousel horse on the front porch of her shop.

On March 25, 1932, she married Carl B. Saufley , who died Feb. 28, 1966. Besides her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Trobaugh, Mary Alice Vance and Luella T. Carver; and two brothers, Dewitt Trobaugh and Harry O. Trobaugh.

Surviving are her step- mother, Alva A. Trobaugh of Dayton; two brothers, Glenn W. Trobaugh of Harrisonburg; John W. Trobaugh of Mt. Crawford; two sisters, Madalin T. Bert of Bridgewater; Jean T. Scott of Weyers Cave; two half-sisters, Katherine Trobaugh of Dayton; Ann T. Tulloh of Concord, NC; a nephew, Richard F. Trobaugh of Mount Crawford, who helped care for her for a number of years and eleven other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Friends may also call the home of Richard Trobaugh in Mount Crawford.
