Mrs. Anna G. Whelton, 73, of 1136 Eighth St. died Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in East Haven Nursing Home, Elyria. She had been ill five months.
Mrs. Whelton was born in Johnstown, Pa. and had lived in Lorain 56 years. She moved to Cleveland where she lived seven years and returned to Lorain in 1957.
She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church of Cleveland.
Mrs. Whelton's husband, John died in August, 1957. Survivors are a brother, Edward Flaherty, National City, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Braun and Mrs. Alice Weber, both of Lorain and nieces and nephews in the Lorain area.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today in the Reidy-Scanlan Funeral Home where funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed bya high mass in St. Mary Church at 10 a.m. Msgr. James J. Duffy will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
