Edward H. Waldo, 72 of 1080 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, died last night at Amherst Manor after a short illness. He was born in Cleveland and moved to Amherst from Lorain 29 years ago.

A former employee of Central Bakery, Lorain. Mr. Waldo was last employed as a salesman for Arvay Potato Chip Co. for 25 years before retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Knights of Columbus 537, a fourth degree member Lt. Francis McManus General Assembly and a member of Polish National Alliance 442.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Helen, a son, Edward of Madison and three grandchildren.

Friends will be received today, 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J.J. Gluvna and Son Funeral Chapel, Lorain.

Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the funeral chapel and at 9:30 a.m. at HOly Trinity Church with the Rev. Joseph Ungarsky officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Lt. Francis McManus General Assembly will have an honor guard at the casket. Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
