Memorial for the Cowboy film star. While traveling as an advance man for a circus in Arizona, he was stopped on the highway 17 miles south of Florence by a flagman and warned about roadwork in progress to repair a washed out bridge. Ignoring the flagman, he proceeded to plunge into a ravine while driving his famous 1937 Cord resulting in instant death. Tom Mix is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
