Esther Bradley was the eldest of three children of Eli Bradley and Esther Goodyear of New Haven, CT. After her mother's death in New Haven in 1809, her father Eli joined his daughter and son-in-law in Genoa, where he died in 1812.

Esther married her fourth cousin Jabez Bradley (both shared the same great great great grandfather, the new Haven settler William Bradley (1619-1691).

Some genealogical records (Ancestry.com) record the place of death of Esther Bradley (and her husband Jabez) as "Northville, Fulton County, NY." We think this is a mistaken reading of Northville (now King Ferry), Cayuga County, NY.
