January 20, 1925 - December 16, 2015

Elbert D. “Buck” Todd, born January 20, 1925 in Randolett, OK to parents Thomas Todd and Iva Pearl Pillers Todd went home to his Heavenly Father on December 16, 2015 in Cleveland, TX. He previously resided in Amarillo and Clute, Texas.
He is survived by his children, Martha Blackerby and husband Stan, Doylene Allen and husband Dwayne, Gary Todd and wife Evelyn and Doyle “Pin” Todd and wife Barbara; sister, Sybil Atkinson and husband Ansel. Grandchildren Tracy Davis, Michael Rex Shapley, Brandy Pope, Lowell Shapley, Marilyn Ball, Connie Crenshaw, Shanan Blackerby, Cameron Tumlinson, Garlynda Porter, Dwayne Allen, Melissa Dirzanowski, JoBeth Williams, Jacelyn Todd, Amy Garcia, Erin Gill, Angie Shanks, and Anna Marie Todd. 37 Great grandchildren and 24 Great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bernice L. Todd; children, Butch Shapley, Nelda Shanks, Jack Shapley and Gwen Wilson and grandson Daniel Lee Wilson.
Buck served in the U. S. Army during World War II participating in the D-Day invasion of Normandy Beach. He received 4 Purple Hearts, the Silver Star and other commendations. He belonged to the Gulf Coast Emergency Rescue Squad, the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department Marine Division and Pipefitters Union Local #390. Buck retired from Dow Chemical Company after 20 years of service.
A visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350N, Livingston, Texas and a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2 pm at The Chapel at Pace Funeral Home with Rev.
