Professional Hockey Player. A native of Quebec City, Canada, he played in the National Hockey League as a Right Wing for the Montreal Canadians from 1954 to 1957, won a Stanley Cup in 1956, retired from playing hockey in the late 1960's.

Jack Leclair, 82, passed away June 14, 2011. He was born in Quebec City, Canada on May 30, 1929 to parents John and Alice Leclair. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 60 years, Doreen; daughter, Debbye Roberts (Harry); sons, Donald (Vickie) and David (Leslie). His heart was broken as he was predeceased by his son, Jackie, most recently, daughter, Suzan, and infant, Rebecca, who will be waiting to greet him. Jack is also survived by his brothers, Ronald and Bill; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Cassidee, Sammy, Cote, Jason, Adam, Jackie Ann, Eric; and eight great grandchildren. Jack had a good and happy life, most of it centered around ice hockey. He played professionally for the Montreal Canadians and won a Stanley Cup in 1956. He was always proud of this accomplishment, every Canadian boys dream. In later years he taught and coached many ice hockey and roller hockey teams in the Jacksonville area and was always well respected and loved by his players, both adults and children. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 in St. Joseph's Historic Catholic Church of Mandarin. Services under the direction and care of Quinn Shalz Funeral Home.
