Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelia Easterly Ballou, 81, of Florence, KY, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2000, in the chapel of Stith Funeral Home of Florence, KY, with Rev. Greg Anderson officiating. Burial was in Batavia Union Cemetery in Batavia, OH, with Stith Funeral Home of Florence, KY, in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ballou, a retired school bus driver for the Kentucky school system, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at her home in Florence, KY.

Born February 21, 1919, in the Oak Grove community of Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Elisha Easterly and Mary Florence Bilbrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Clayton Ballou; seven brothers, Omar Claudud Easterly, Osby Voe Easterly, Orvel Isaac Easterly, Jethro James Easterly, William Thomas Easterly, Johnnie Totten Easterly, and Dr. Wynn F. Clouse Easterly; and two sisters, Audie Mae Morgan, and Alice Ada Duncan.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Lee and Deborah Lauderwasser; two grandchildren, Justin Lee and Jamison Lee; one sister, Ina Evelyn Gilbert, Cincinnati, OH; two sisters-in-law, Glysta Barnes Easterly, Blanchester, OH, and Juanita Gray Easterly, Livingston; and a host of nieces and nephews.
