Mrs. Dorothy H. Prather, formerly of Montgomery, Pa., passed away in October of 2010. Born May 6, 1923, she was the daughter of Laurence A. and Pauline Balluff Henderson.
Mrs. Prather was the granddaughter and great-granddaughter of signers of the court petition for the incorporation of Montgomery as a borough, and a lineal descendant of General John Burrows.
Mrs. Prather graduated from Montgomery-Clinton High School in 1941 and served for two years in the U.S. Navy WAVES during World War II.
Surviving are a daughter, Patsy O'Malley of Redondo Beach, Calif. and a brother, Donald Henderson of Overland Park, Kan.; four granddaughters, three grandsons, three great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
She was predeceased by sons, Kieran and Thomas Prather and brothers, Robert and William Henderson.
