Mrs. Mayfield succumbs at age of 108
Morgantown, Ina G. Mayfield, 108, formerly of Bridgeport, died Thursday, August 14, at Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown.
She was born July 25, 1889 in Jarvisville, a daughter of the late William Abraham and Florinda Ward Brown.
She as a long-standing member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church.
She is survived by seven grandchildren, James R. Jones and R. Mark Jones both of Winchester, VA; Steven F. Jones, Chester, VA; Kathryn C. Jones, Morgantown; Susan Mitchell, Tequesta, FL; Michael Mayfield, Columbia, SC; and Gene Lewis, Durham, NC and eight Great Grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Horner Mayfield in 1971, one daughter, Gene M. Jones, one son, William W. Mayfield, and a son-in-law, Richard S. Jones.
