Mrs. Lizzie Burrier, widow of William Burrier, died at her home in Harlem Tuesday morning, after an illness lasting about one week. She was a native of the county, born March 1, 1837, and was one of our oldest and most respected citizens. Three daughters survive her death who were with her in her last illness: Mrs. Alice Rush of South Bend; Mrs. Albert Hoobler of Marion, Indiana and Mrs. C. E. Lotz of Canton. Also four sisters and two brothers, all younger: Mrs. John Kirkpatrick of East Springfield; Mrs. Mary Richards and William A. Hays of Carrollton; Mrs. William Huddleston and Miss Joan Hayes of Harlem and Edward Hayes of Canton. Interment Friday at Harlem. Rev. W. M. Kinsley, pastor of the M. E. Church will conduct the funeral. Mrs. Burrier united with the M. E. Church in her girlhood days and remained one of its most consistent members.

After a week's illness Mrs. Elizabeth Burrier died Tuesday at Harlem Springs and will be buried there today. She was born March 1, 1837, at Albany, New York, and was married in 1852 to William Burrier, who died about 15 years ago. The following children survive: Mrs. Alice Rush, of South Bend, Indiana; Mrs. Elmer Lotz, of Canton, and Mrs. Albert Hoobler, of Marion, Indiana. The surviving brothers and sister are: William Hayes, of Carrollton; Edward Hayes, of Canton; Mrs. Mary Richards, of Carrollton; Mrs. William Huddleston, of Harlem Springs; Mrs. John Kirkpatrick, of East Springfield, and Miss Joanna Hayes, of Harlem Springs. The deceased united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in childhood. With the exception of one year, which she spent in the west, she passed all her married life in Lee Township.
