Kathryn M. Casey, 58, of Oglesby died of an unexpected illness at 11:32 a.m. April 24, 2010, in Manor Court, Peru.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby. Monsignor James Swaner will officiate.
Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery, La Salle.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel.
Mrs. Casey was born Oct. 20, 1951, in Spring Valley to Arthur and Alberta (Lampkin) Mollan. She married Donald Casey on June 18, 2003, in upstate New York.
She graduated in 1970 from La Salle-Peru Town-ship High School. She was a co-owner of Park Street Studio and Village Pottery in Utica from 1981-1990. She also was a freelance artist. She enjoyed bowling with her husband Don and was a member of the Monday Morning Ladies and Friday Saints and Sinners bowling leagues.
Survivors are her mother, Alberta Sabatini of Peru; her husband, Donald Casey of Oglesby; one son, Christopher Plankenhorn of Utica; two daughters, Conni Plankenhorn Morrell of Moline and Jennifer (Mike) Plankenhorn Krolak of Peru; one stepson, Darren Casey of Granville; one stepdaughter, April (Bill) Casey-Reaska of Lake Thunderbird; 18 grandchildren, Jake, Megan, Nicholas, Aly, Ana, Abby, Joseph, Avery, Lauren, Maddie, Emily, Carter, Zack, Samantha, Tara, Christina, Nathan and Camille; one brother, Ken (Linda) Mollan of Peru; and two sisters, Pat Mollan of Peru and Rose (Ralph) Brekan of Tempe, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson in infancy.
