The funeral of Henry Griffen, one of our oldest residents was held on Sunday and was very largely attended. He was eighty-nine years old and leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. He was buried in Amawalk Hill Cemetery on Sunday and the funeral was from the Amawalk Friends' church at 11 o'clock. He was a brother of the late Daniel Griffen. He was a man of unusual qualities and respected by all who knew him. He was a very active man until his late illness which was quite long.
