Ralph D. Hill, 79, 625 W. 14th St., died Monday morning at Ball Hospital following a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Muncie, he was a retired employe of the Van Orman-Roberts Hotel.
Mr. Hill was a veteran of World War I and a member of World War I Barracks 139.
Surviving are his wife, J. Pearl; six stepdaughters, Msr. Glenn Craig, Mrs. Charles Starkey, and Mrs. Wayne Mansfield, all of Muncie, Mrs. Melvin Brown, Peru, Ind., Mrs. Cecil Merchant, Winchester, and Mrs. Marvin Bond, Parker; three stepsons, Arthur and Robert Bricker, both of Muncie, and James Bricker of Oneco, Fla.; 34 stepgrandchildren, and 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. harry Slattery officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
