Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon Sept. 21 for Mrs. Mabel Bass who died September 19 in a local hospital. A native of California and 65 years old, she had lived in this community for the past 63 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Bass of Standish; sons, Harry and Leland Bass of Reno, and Gordon of Berkeley; daughters, Mrs. Clyde Anderson and Mrs. Bennie Valley of Sacramento; Mrs. Orin Haws, Mrs. Arnold Cayocca and Mrs. Kalib Jones of Susanville, sister, Mrs. Nettie Piemons of Anderson, brother Orlie Greer of Sacramento. Eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive her.
