Born in Providence, a son of the late William A. and Carrie (Horton) Alexander , he lived in the city until 1968.
Mr. Alexander worked for the Armbrust Chain Co., Providence, for many years, retiring in 1967. He was a World War I Army veteran and a former member of Cahill Post, VFW. Providence.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Louise Bourgeois of North Attleboro and Mrs. Gertrude McCormick of Providence; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Downer of Warwick and Mrs. Eunice Mullin of Riverside; a brother, William Alexander in California; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Monday at the Juhlin-Pearson Chapel, Providence. Burial followed in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
