Son of Charles Albert (Carlo Alberto) and Sophie (Beaky) Albert. He was the 2nd of 10 children. Given the nickname Bozo as a child. He served in the US Marine Corps in the Pacific during WWII attaining the rank of Corporal and was later employed in the Coke Division of Bethlehem Steel for 35 years. He was a goalkeeper for the Portuguese A.A. Soccer team in Bethlehem, PA. He married Elaine Irene Fatzinger on June 24, 1951. They had one son.
