He was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Bennington, the son of Leonard and Bernice (Bushee) Forrest.
He received his education in the Bennington schools.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Army from 1950 thru 1952.
He was employed for many years in tower installation by RCA Corporation, and later worked at Star Electric until the time of his retirement.
Mr. Forrest was a life member of both VFW Post 1332 and American Legion Post 13; he was also a member of Moose Lodge 1233, all of Bennington.
Survivors include a son, Charles Forrest of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; one grandson; and two brothers, Leonard Forrest and David Forrest, both of Bennington.
He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Forrest Accri.
At Mr. Forrest's request, there will be no services.
Burial will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
