(John) Edward Carlson (80)was the second of five children born to Charley Carlson and Rose Danielson.
When John, known as Edward, was 22 yrs old he had a terrible auto accident when his car completely rolled over and Edward was pinned under his Ford touring car. His father, Charley, a passenger in the car exhibited superhuman strength when he actually lifted the car off his son thus saving his life. Although both were injured (Charley suffered from dislocated shoulder, smashed foot and deep cut on his arm) and Edward had a badly bruised back, both recovered fine.
Edward lived with his parents on their farm near Prior, Big Stone County, MN and did road construction. He never married, but took care of his parents in their older years.
He was known for his good sense of humor. Edward died of acute pneumonia.
