Louis A. Keefer died at his home, 130 West North street, Friday afternoon of inflammation of the heart and kidney trouble, aged 65 years, 2 months and 27 days.

He had been in failing health for more than a year and in all his sickness was very patient and never complained.

Mr. Keefer was born April 16, 1852, the son of Louis and Ephia Keefer, at Keefer's store, near Upper Strasburg, this county.

He married Mary Wilhelmina Stitzel, daughter of William Stitzel, of Stitzels cross roads, November 9, 1876.

He was a farmer until he moved to Waynesboro in 1909, when he became a machinist in Frick Co.'s shops. He was an upright, respected citizen.

For 40 years he was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church.

He was a member of several lodges and societies. He was a member of the Royal Arcanum, P. O. S. of A., Frick Aid society and Frick Eclipse society.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louis A. Keefer, the following children: William L. Keefer, Baltimore, John E. Keefer, Columbus, Ohio, Irvin O. Keefer, Albany, N. Y., Walter L. Keefer, Pittsburg, Mass., and Miss L. Mae Keefer, at home, one brother, Dewalt Keefer, Mr. Carroll, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. James Meyers, Mercersburg, and eight grandchildren.
