John Castle Wright Jr., son of Mr. John Castle Wright of 44 Lincoln Avenue in Lansdowne died, in the Presbyterian Hospital, of the injuries he received from an accident on Saturday last. While riding in a pushmobile on Lansdowne Ave. the steering apparatus failed and, in an effort to keep the machine from hitting a passing army truck, he stayed with the coaster and his leg was seriously injured. He was immediately removed to the Presbyterian Hospital and although the doctors worked hard to save his life, he died next morning. His parents donated $500 to the Lansdowne Public Library to establish a juvenile section in memory of their son, one of whose greatest joys was reading. A bronze plaque was placed in the section calling it the John Castle Wright Juvenile Memorial Library.
