Beloved wife of Frank J. Smolkovic. Dearest mother of 4 children and grandmother of six. Loving daughter of Seth and Mary (Rodgers) Snook. Reared in Yeagertown, PA. Sister of Ed, Ruth and Virginia. Mrs. Smolkovic graduated from Jefferson - School of Nursing in Philadelphia and attended the University of Pennsylvannia. Putting aside her scholarship, Mary answered President Roosevelt's call for registered nurses to care for the returning Marines. Mrs. Smolkovic served stateside at the Naval Hospitals at Sampson and Quantico.

Mr. and Mrs. Smolkovic were married in Yeagertown, PA.

Widely known and respected. Most often lending a helping hand, she was a good neighbor and wonderful friend to all that knew her. A very wise and thoughtful woman who brought sunshine to all. She enjoyed porcelain painting. Member of Country China Painters. A firm believer in community and education, in lieu of flowers, memorials were directed to Hilbert College, Hamburg, NY.
