Anna arrived in America on the ship "Donau" from Osnabrück, Germany on August 14, 1880. Osnabrück is located in northern Germany. Anna's sister Mary, brother Frank and her parents also made the trip and the family settled in Belleville, Illinois. Years later they settled in the Peoria area.
Mrs. Anna Neukam, 60 years old, Rural Route 5, East Peoria died Thursday in Jacksonville, Ill. Mrs. Neukam was born in Germany, but had lived in America since infancy. She was a member of St. Monica's church in East Peoria. Surviving are the husband and one son, Herman Neukam, East Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 o'clock Monday morning in the Boland Mortuary chapel and at 9 o'clock at St. Monica's church. Burial will be in Fon du Lac cemetery.
(Anna had an accidental fall from a chair at Jacksonville State Hospital. She died from a cerebral hemorrhage.)
