Rushville Republican – January 31, 1992

Lillian "Sammy" Poulos, 81, 612 E. 11th Street, Rushville, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 1992, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville.

Born October 5, 1910, in Gosport (Owen County, Indiana), she was the daughter of Jerome McHenry and Julia Patrick. She married Louis Poulos on September 12, 1928. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1987. She had lived in Rushville since 1929. She was a 1928 graduate of Martinsville High School. She was a member of the House of Prayer Church near Lewisville.

Survivors include one son: Jan Poulos, Upland, Calif; one daughter; Mrs. Wes (Ann) Shook, West Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services are 1 p.m. Monday at the East Hill Cemetery in Rushville with Pastor Merrill McBride officiating. There will be no visitation.
