Jack L Eck, 74, of R.D. 2, Kane, died Friday, July 3, 1987, at Kane Community Hospital, Kane.
He was born June 13, 1913, in Lamont, Pa., son of the late Joseph E. and Julia Walters Eck, he was married Dec. 24, 1971, in Kane to the former Ruth E. Johnson, who survives. He had been employed all his life as an oil driller for the F.D. Hill Jr. Drilling Co., Kane, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Dads of Foreign Service Vets and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 307, in Kane.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons; five daughters; two brothers; six sisters; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret B. Eck, in 1961; by two sons, Richard in 1958, and John in 1974; two brothers, Ed and Russell; two sisters, Irene and Mary.
