Nola Mae Sparks Cannon, age 78, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Blount Memorial Transitional Care.

She was born July 19, 1933, in Vonore, Monroe Co., TN, to David "Ellis" and Lona Mae Myers Sparks who were both born in Cades Cove. She was a housewife, devoted mother, and wife. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lee "Buster" Cannon; parents; brothers, James and Sam Sparks; sister, Bonnie Sparks, and in-laws, Ralph and Anna Mae Cannon.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Randy and Patsy Cannon and Tim Cannon; grandchildren, Cayla and Chase Cannon; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Helen Sparks; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Bobby Miller, Sr., Trudy and Dan Rayburn, and Martha Boring; sister-in-law, Helen Sparks; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Kenny Armstrong officiating. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Wednesday at Carpenters Campground UMC Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865) 982-6041.
