Myrtle Ruth Kobliska, daughter of Joseph Louis Kobliska and Mary Eliza Dean, was born April, 20, 1904, at Chetek, Barron County, Wisconsin. She died there November 10, 1987 at the Knapp Raven Rest Home aged 83 years, 6 months and 20 days. Her SSN was 392-32-3365 issued in Wisconsin

On May 28, 1927, Myrtle was united in marriage to Walter Robert Adolf Niederloh, at Minneapolis, Minnesota. Walter was born August 27, 1902, at Minneapolis, son of Frederick Niederloh and Elfrieda Krommack. He died February 23, 1952, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, aged 49 years, 5 months and 26 days. Their two children, both born in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, were:

Janet Merle born 29 Dec 1936
James Walter 23 Feb 1939

After their marriage Walter and Myrtle moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she was employed as a stenographer by the Street Car Company. To obtain the job she had to pretend that she was single as the company policy was to hire only unmarried women. It was their dream to own their own business and they eventually achieved this when they purchased a small grocery store in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, where their two children were born. In about 1940/41, they purchased the Red and White Store in Chetek, Wisconsin, which they operated until Myrtle sold the store and went to work for the Indianhead State Bank, in Chetek. Both Myrtle and Walter are buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Chetek, Barron County, Wisconsin.

Myrtle R. Niederloh, 83, a resident of Knapp Haven Nursing Home in Chetek, died Nov. 10. Funeral services were held Friday at the Chetek Lutheran Church, officiated by Re. Wallace Hunstad. Interment was made in Lake View Cemetery at Chetek.

The former Myrtle Kobliska was born April 20, 1904 at Weyerhaeuser and married Walter Niederloh on May 28, 1927 at Minneapolis, Minn. He died in 1952.

From 1941 - 1958, she and her husband owned the Red and White Grocery Store at Chetek, and from 1958 - 1974, she was a secretary at Chetek State Bank.

Mrs. Niederloh is survived by one son, Rev. James Niederloh of South Milwaukee; one daughter, Janet Christeson of Laurel, Md.; one brother, Lester of Chetek; two sisters, Mabel Whipple and Anne Goodrie, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
